That one boss battle just let it down though. I loved the stunning visuals, the writing, the voice acting, the action and the gameplay. It was a suitably action packed close to the story, and one that slightly made up for the risible battle and (if I remember rightly) feeds into some character development in U3.Ī: Actually I would say great.
It was like Naughty Dog knew they had to make up for the stupid boss fight by reminding you why this game was so good again.ī: I suspect that final escape sequence (which was indeed so awesome) had a lot more Naughty Dog (Naughtier Dog?) love than the Russian boss battle. That escape running over a falling down bridge was just awesome, and having to save Chloe by shooting the yeti thing as you were both sliding down the ruins, perfect. Well I was slightly right…there was a bit in between though, which was so much more fun than the actual boss fight. Drake saved the day and would be rewarded with a cut scene with both his ladies. On my second recent playthrough of U2, I did the same thing and dropped it to easy … because … let’s be honest, that battle is broken.Ī: With Russian dude dead I pretty much thought that would be the end of the game. It just got to the point of…please just let this be over.ī: I know that feeling only too well (cough, cough Bongo Bongo). Honestly though, after 3 failed attempts on normal, I did drop it back to easy and finished it in one go. I needed to have a clear day to just do it and I did.
